I’m Lewis, a portrait and wedding photographer based in Derby.

I photograph weddings in a way that feels effortless. nothing forced, nothing staged, just the day as it actually unfolds.

I’ve spent over a decade behind the camera, developing a calm, unobtrusive way of working that puts people at ease and lets moments unfold naturally.

My approach is simple: honest, natural storytelling. No awkward posing, no fuss, no over-the-top staging. Just real moments, captured as they happen, so you can relive them for years to come.

My style

For me, wedding photography is all about telling the real story of your day. The laughter, the happy tears, the quiet moments in between, all captured naturally as they happen. I love working in the background, blending in, and catching those genuine, heartfelt moments without interrupting the flow of your day.

There’s something special about candid wedding photography - those fleeting glances during the vows, the hugs that last a second too long, or the wild, joyful chaos of the dance floor. These are the moments that bring your wedding gallery to life. The little details that tell your story, not just the big events.

What makes my work stand out isn’t just the photos themselves, but the atmosphere they reflect. I focus on capturing the emotion, the connection between you and your guests, and all the unscripted moments you might not even notice on the day.

No awkward posing, no over-the-top setups - just relaxed, honest photography that feels true to you. I want your photos to take you straight back to how it all felt (the nerves, the excitement, the laughter) every single time you look at them.

01.

At Home

I live in Derbyshire with my wonderful wife and amazing daughter. Home life is simple... good food, good company, and a pace that leaves room to notice the small things.

02.

Perspective

I’ve always been drawn to the in-between moments. The ones that aren’t planned, but end up meaning the most. It’s a way of seeing that carries through into my work.

03.

Atmosphere

I pay close attention to how a space feels. The light, the energy, the way people move within it. It’s often what defines a moment more than the moment itself.

04.

Rituals

In my studio, good coffee and music in the background are key. Small things, but they set the tone. The same attention to atmosphere carries through into how I work.
