Candid Moments, Genuine Smiles: Your Wedding Story Captured

For me, wedding photography isn't about stiff poses or forced smiles - it’s about capturing the real stuff. The laughter, the nerves, the quiet moments in between. My approach is simple: I blend in, observe, and document your day exactly as it unfolds. Nothing staged, nothing overdone - just honest, natural photos that feel like you.

Think of me as a guest with a camera - there to catch the magic without getting in the way. No awkward posing, no endless shot lists, just real, relaxed photography that tells the full story of your day. Whether it’s the chaos of the dancefloor, the quiet hand squeeze before the vows, or the belly laughs during speeches, I’ll be there for it all.

So, you enjoy the day. I’ll make sure the memories last.

My approach

How I capture your wedding day

STEP 01

Getting to know each other

First things first, let's have a chat! It’s so important that we click, so this is all about getting to know each other. We’ll chat through your plans, your style, and what you’re looking for from your wedding photos. No pressure, just making sure I’m the right fit for your big day.

STEP 02

The week before your big day

With the excitement building, we’ll have a final catch-up around a week before the big day. We’ll go over all the key details including timings, must-have shots, and anything else I need to know to make sure everything runs smoothly.

STEP 03

The Big Day

This bit’s simple... enjoy it! Your wedding day isn’t a photoshoot, it’s your celebration. I’ll be there quietly capturing all the moments, from the emotional to the unexpected. We’ll sneak off for some relaxed couple photos, nothing heavily posed, just the two of you being yourselves.

STEP 04

Delivering your memories

A few weeks after the wedding, your full gallery will be ready. You can expect over 700 carefully edited photos, telling the full story of your day. Natural, honest, full of feeling, and ready to relive the magic whenever you like.

FAQ

How do we get started?

Easy peasy! Just drop me a message and we’ll arrange a relaxed chat to get to know each other, talk through your plans, and see if I’m the right fit for your day. No pressure - just a friendly conversation.

Will our photos be heavily posed?

Not a chance. I believe the best moments are the real ones; natural, unscripted, and full of feeling. We’ll still capture the important group shots and some relaxed couple portraits, but nothing stiff or awkward.

What's your approach on the wedding day?

Think of me as a guest with a camera. I'll be blending into the background, capturing all the genuine moments as they happen. No cheesy posing, no getting in the way - just real, relaxed wedding photography.

How do we plan the shots we want?

We’ll have a final catch-up around a week before your wedding to run through the timeline, must-have shots, and any special details. It’s all about making sure we’re on the same page, so you can relax and enjoy the day.

When will we receive our photos?

Within around four weeks, you’ll receive a private online gallery with at least 600 carefully edited photos, ready to download, share, and relive your day. I always aim to deliver as quickly as possible, but peak season may add a little time.

Do you travel for weddings?

Absolutely! I’m based in Derbyshire but I love an adventure — whether you’re getting married locally, across the East Midlands, or further afield, I’m happy to travel. Let’s chat about your plans.

Are you insured?

Absolutely! I’m fully insured with both public liability and professional indemnity cover. Most venues ask for this, so it’s all sorted. If they need proof, just let me know and I’ll send it over.

What happens if it rains?

No worries - some of my favourite wedding photos have been taken in the rain! A bit of rain can add atmosphere, drama, and even those fun, spontaneous moments you’ll love looking back on.

I always bring a clear umbrella for you, just in case, and my cameras are fully weather-sealed... so if you fancy embracing the rain, we absolutely can. If not, no stress as I’ll have indoor options and creative ideas ready to keep your photos looking amazing, whatever the forecast.

How do we book?

Once we've spoken and you’re happy to go ahead, I’ll send over a booking form and contract. A £200 booking fee secures your date, and the remaining balance is due one month before your wedding.
