Some weddings just feel like one big celebration from start to finish, and Elizabeth & Alistair’s day was exactly that. From a campervan entrance to animal petting (yes, really!) and a dancefloor packed out for the Macarena, it was a wedding packed with personality, joy, and unforgettable moments.
Bridal Prep at Home
The morning began at Elizabeth’s family home, with a buzzing atmosphere as everyone got ready. Even the family dog wanted to get involved, happily weaving in and out as the bridal party got dressed and laughed their way through the prep. Elizabeth’s dress was truly one-of-a-kind – intricately embroidered with a unique design that had everyone talking.
Her bridesmaids all wore outfits in the same pale green-blue colour (pale turquoise?), but each chose a completely different style. It was such a brilliant way to tie the group together while allowing each bridesmaid to show their own personality and wear something that suited them perfectly.
Ceremony at Chellaston Methodist Church
The ceremony at Chellaston Methodist Church was beautiful and heartfelt, with a real sense of community. The moment Elizabeth walked down the aisle was breathtaking, and the smiles on both their faces as they exchanged vows said everything. As they left the church, guests lined up for one of the longest confetti throws I’ve ever seen – it stretched all the way down the path to the waiting campervan! The joy, colour, and energy of that moment made for some incredible photographs.
Ticknall Village Hall Drinks Reception
After the ceremony, the celebrations continued at Ticknall Village Hall, where guests were greeted with something a little different: a petting zoo! From rabbits and chicks to ducks and even a tortoise, it was a huge hit with guests young and old – a brilliant icebreaker and so much fun to photograph. Dinner was a relaxed barbecue feast, perfect for a summer wedding and a great way to get everyone mingling. The speeches had everyone laughing and smiling, setting the tone for an evening full of good vibes. When it came to the dancefloor, the DJ kept the energy sky-high. The highlight? A Macarena that had absolutely everyone on their feet – it’s one of those moments that will go down in history!
A Celebration to Remember
Elizabeth & Alistair created a day that felt true to them: fun, relaxed, and full of unforgettable touches. From the campervan to the animal petting and the party atmosphere that carried on long into the night, it was a wedding filled with heart and soul.
Betty & Alistair – thank you for letting me be a part of it all.
